Packet Pickup & Bike Drop off
 
Packet pickup for the St. Louis Triathlon will be held from 10-4 pm on Saturday, May 20. All athletes who will be participating in the St. Louis Triathlon  will need to pick up their packet for the event. There is no race-day packet pickup. Please bring a government-issued ID (i.e. state license, passport, green cards) to packet pickup.

Bike drop off will be available starting at 12:00 pm on May 20, 2017 up until sundown. (Bike drop off is NOT required) 
  • Rangers and MSE Racing staff will be on site in order to guard your bike. 
  • IMPORTANT:  In everyone's race packet will be a wrist band printed with your bib number.  YOU CANNOT ENTER OR EXIT TRANSITION WITHOUT WEARING THIS.  This includes bike drop off as well as race day!!  While transition is fenced off, this ensures the maximum level of security for your belongings as a participant.
  • Please place your belongings to the LEFT of your bike.  There will be approximately 2' between you and your neighbor.  The 2' to the left of your bike is your 2'.
  • Bike drop-off is not mandatory, but encouraged.
  • Your rack will be labeled with a flag the same color as your swim cap.

Night Before Race Day:
  • It is with tremendous pleasure that we will be offering body marking tattoos for race day!!  The last person across the line should feel like a pro, and should look like one too!!
  • Each participant will receive their age.  All participants (runners for teams) will also receive 2 sets of their bib number.
  • Please place your age on the back of your RIGHT calf.
  • Please put your bib number on both arms (bicep/tricep area)
  • You will also receive a bike and helmet sticker.
  • You may place your bike sticker anywhere on your bike so long as it is visible. 
  • Your helmet sticker should be on the front, facing out

Timing Chips
Timing chips will be handed out at registration. You will receive exact instruction from the timing company as to how to affix your timing chip. Do not lose your chip. If you lose your chip, please report to the registration team onsite. Do not trade your chip with another athlete. your chip is linked to your race information.
The chip must be worn during the entire race (swim, bike, run) to produce accurate timing data. It is the athlete’s responsibility to cross each timing mat. All chips
must be returned at the finish line. If you forget to return your chip, you may also hand it at the information tent. Be sure to let the staff know your name and racing
number. If you are unable to complete the race, return your timing chip at the information tent and inform race staff and/or officials.
Relay members: you must hand off the timing chip to your teammate(s) after completing your leg(s) of the race.

 
Wristbands
At packet pick-up, athletes will be given a wristband that must be worn during the race. This wristband also will allow athletes into transition at bike check-in Sat.,
before the race Saturday morning and also into post-race food. For the safety of the athletes and their gear, no one will be allowed into transition without a wristband. DO NOT REMOVE YOUR WRISTBAND UNTIL THE COMPLETION OF YOUR RACE.

Race Site and Transition Area
The swim start and transition area for the St. Louis Triathlon races are located at the Tremayne shelter on the north end of the park along Marine Avenue. The finish line will be located near the same lot. Want to learn more about the race course? CLICK HERE to sign up for race updates.
 
Starting Waves
4:30 am - Transition Opens. YOU MUST BE WEARING YOUR BRACELET.  Your rack will be labeled with a flag the same color as your swim cap.
6:45 am - Transition Closes
7:00 am - Dirty Double and Para Wave    

                      Marine Road Closes to traffic
                     Marine Road will re-open once the last cyclist has exited the bike course.  Everyone who parks on site will be required to remain until this time!!

7:15 am - First Age Group Wave

11:00 am - Awards; Marine Road reopens to traffic

**You are responsible to know your wave, start time, and be present when your wave goes out**

**Wave assignments are subject to change**The swim start will be a wave start. Starting waves and times will be posted at packet pick-up and on stltriathlon.com during event week.
 
Parking Information
Parking will be in the large grassy field directly adjacent (and west of) the transition area.  Rangers will be in place to assist.  There are also parking lots available down Marin Road.
 
Lane Closures
Marine Road wil be closed from Maryland Heights Expressway, Hwy. 141 and will not reopen until the last bike has left the course.
 
Bike Check-In
Bike check in and transition set up will be allowed starting at 12:00 pm to Sundown on Saturday, May 20.  This is not mandatory, but encouraged.
 
Body Marking
Volunteers will be available to assist with body marking on race morning. Please be prepared to provide your race number and your age (as of Dec. 31, 2017)
 
Gear Check
There will be no gear or bag check at the St. Louis Triathlon. Please plan accordingly.
 
Lost and Found
The lost and found will be located at the information tent within the expo during expo hours. Mark your gear with your race number and name prior to race day. The
St Louis Triathlon is not responsible for lost items. To locate lost items following the event, contact info@mseracing.com to arrange returns. Shipping fees will apply. All unclaimed items will be donated after June 30, 2017.
